Eliza Collins: Head Trainer & Owner
My Journey
My passion for dog training began long before it became my career. Growing up, I was fascinated by canine behavior and the unique bond between dogs and their owners. That passion led me to pursue professional training in 2014, where I discovered my true calling-helping people build. better relationships with their dogs through clear communication, consistency, and trust.
Since then, I have worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments, from young puppies learning the basics to more comprehensive behavioral challenges. Every dog is different and I believe successful training starts with understanding the dog in front of you.
Today, I am proud to serve Southwest Virginia, helping families create confident, well-mannered companions while giving owners the knowledge and skills to continue their dogs success long after training ends.
Why train with me?
Since the beginning of my career in 2014, I have had the privilege of helping dogs and their owners work through everything from puppy foundations to advanced obedience and behavior modification.
I owned and operated a busy and successful dog training business in Arizona for 8 years, where I trained hundreds of dogs and owners.
In addition to training family companions, I’ve spent years competing in IGP, an advanced working dog sport that demands exceptional communication, precision, and teamwork between dog and handler. That experience has strengthened my understanding of canine behavior and continues to influence how I approach every dog I train.
I am experienced in genetics and breeding and have a good understanding of dogs at their core.
“Dog training isn’t about changing who your dog is. It’s about teaching them how to succeed in the human world while helping the owner understand how they experience it.”
